Agreement and the service

By creating an account, applying to become a care professional, making a booking, or otherwise using KalizHomeCare, you agree to these Terms of Service and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

KalizHomeCare lets customers browse home-care services and professional profiles, request an appointment, and pay through a Stripe-hosted checkout page when payment is offered. A booking can be assigned to the professional you choose or, if you do not select one, to an eligible professional based on the requested service, service area, availability, and rating. KalizHomeCare also lets individuals apply to offer services on the platform as care professionals, subject to our review and approval.

Accounts and acceptable use

You must provide accurate account and booking information, protect your login credentials, and use the service only for lawful purposes. You are responsible for activity under your account and for ensuring that the service address and access instructions are accurate.

Do not use the platform to harass, threaten, discriminate against, or endanger anyone; submit false information; interfere with the service; or attempt to access another person's account or booking information.

Bookings, pricing, and payment

Before a booking is created, the app displays the service price and currency. The server sets the booking price from the selected service; customers cannot change it in the booking request. A booking request is initially pending and may later be confirmed, completed, or cancelled.

When checkout is available, payment is handled by Stripe. Your payment is also subject to Stripe's terms and policies. We do not store your payment-card number in this application.

A pending booking or a successful payment does not guarantee that a particular professional, appointment, or service will be available if a conflict, eligibility issue, or other operational issue prevents fulfillment. We will communicate any resulting booking change through the service where reasonably possible.

Cancellations and refunds

Customers may cancel a booking through KalizHomeCare until the booking has been completed or already cancelled. The application records the cancellation time and makes that time available in the booking record.

The current application does not automatically issue refunds when a booking is cancelled. Any refund, credit, or cancellation charge must be confirmed by KalizHomeCare for the specific booking. Do not assume a cancellation creates an automatic refund.

Care professionals

Individuals may apply to become a care professional by submitting an application with their bio, the services they offer, their hourly rate, and their service area. An application is reviewed by KalizHomeCare, and the resulting profile is hidden from customers and excluded from booking matching until KalizHomeCare approves it. KalizHomeCare may approve, decline, or later suspend a care professional profile at its discretion.

Care professionals are independent contractors, not employees, partners, or agents of Kaliz. Care professionals control how they perform services, may accept or decline availability for bookings, and are solely responsible for the manner, quality, and legality of the services they provide, including any licenses, permits, insurance, or background checks required by law for the services they offer.

To receive payouts, an approved care professional must complete identity and bank account onboarding through Stripe Connect, a service provided by Stripe and subject to Stripe's own terms. When a booking is completed, KalizHomeCare retains a service fee (currently 20% of the booking price) and initiates a transfer of the remaining amount to the care professional's connected Stripe account. KalizHomeCare may change the service fee percentage for future bookings by posting an updated version of these terms.

A payout may be delayed or fail, including if Stripe onboarding is incomplete; KalizHomeCare will make reasonable efforts to resolve a failed payout once the underlying issue is corrected. Care professionals are solely responsible for reporting and paying all applicable taxes on amounts they earn through the platform, and KalizHomeCare may issue tax forms as required by law.

Care and safety

Home-care services can involve access to a residence and, for some services, interaction with family members. You are responsible for providing a safe, lawful environment and for communicating material service needs in your booking notes.

KalizHomeCare is not an emergency, medical, mental-health, or childcare emergency service. Do not use the platform for urgent medical needs, emergencies, or situations requiring licensed medical care. Call local emergency services when immediate help is needed.

Unless KalizHomeCare expressly says otherwise in writing, profile information and reviews are provided for booking decisions and are not a guarantee of a professional's qualifications, availability, licensing, insurance, or results.

Availability, changes, and liability

We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service, services, prices, or these terms as permitted by law. We will post an updated version of these terms with a new effective date when we make changes.

To the extent permitted by law, KalizHomeCare provides the platform as available and does not guarantee uninterrupted access or a particular service outcome. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under applicable law.
